The sisters of Alpha Kappa Chi welcome all students to apply for membership. If you like our members and our philosophies, and you are interested in joining the society, we encourage you to come out to our teas!
As a society devoted primarily to the study of classics, and as such host lectures on campus on various topics within classical study. We also emphasize philanthropy, and as such run multiple community service projects throughout the year. Add more specifics about AKX.
If you wish to apply for membership in Alpha Kappa Chi Society, these are the requirements:
- Come to our Open House! It will be your first opportunity to meet all of our members and learn more about the society.
- Attend at least three of the five teas. Use the teas as an opportunity to show your personality and passions to the members, and for you to get to know the society!
- Complete the written application and project. There are anonymous and named sections of the written application, so that we can get to know you in a more formal thought-out way. We want to know all about you and your love for classics, scholarship, philanthropy, and sisterhood!
- You must be at least in your second semester of Wellesley to apply. However, if you would still like to come out to the teas and get to know the members, you are welcome to join us!
